HD vs Airbrush Bridal Makeup: Which One Suits You?
A practical comparison of finish, longevity, cost and which skin types each technique flatters.
How they differ
HD makeup uses light-diffusing pigments applied with brushes and sponges. It is buildable, forgiving and gives a fuller coverage that photographs beautifully under video lighting.
Airbrush sprays a fine mist of thinned foundation. The finish is lighter, more skin-like and extremely long wearing, but it is harder to build up over textured skin.
Which suits your skin
Oily and combination skin usually does better with airbrush — it sits lighter and resists sliding through a long function day. Dry or mature skin often looks richer in HD, which can be layered with cream products.
If you have active acne or scarring you want fully covered, HD gives the artist more control.
Cost and time
Airbrush typically carries a premium of a few thousand rupees and takes slightly less application time. HD is the more common choice for Hyderabad weddings simply because of how it reads on camera.
We are happy to do both in your trial so you can compare on your own face rather than on someone else's.
