Karwa Chauth Mehendi: Motifs, Timing and Booking Tips
Everything you need to plan your Karwa Chauth henna, including when to apply for the deepest colour.
Traditional motifs
Karwa Chauth designs centre on the sun and moon, the karwa pot, the sieve through which you view the moon, and paisley borders. Many clients ask for their husband's initials hidden in the pattern.
When to apply
Apply the evening before, ideally around eight to twelve hours ahead of when you want peak colour. Henna darkens for up to forty-eight hours, so applying two days early gives the richest result on the day itself.
Booking tips
Karwa Chauth is one of our busiest days of the year. Slots in Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki and Banjara Hills are usually gone three weeks ahead.
